The Double Impulse Chronometer Wristwatch

This is the first wristwatch to utilise the Daniels Double Impulse Chronometer Escapement, which is completely symmetrical, highly detached, and oil free. The large free-sprung balance has a self-compensating balance spring with raised terminal curve, and a proprietary shock protection system with fixed jewelled bearings.

The hand-wound two-train 43 jewel movement, with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations/hour, has a duration of 36 hours and a stop-seconds (hack) feature. The train wheels are cut from gold and the steel components are black-polished or grained in the traditional manner. The up-and-down work is based on an epicyclic differential and incorporates a balance brake.

The white dial has applied blued-steel numerals in a choice of Arabic or Roman. The minute and hour hands are of equal length, with internal minute tracking, a design inspired by a Frodsham tourbillon watch from the early 1900s.

The Double Impulse Chronometer Wristwatch

Designed with Frodsham heritage in mind, the watch uses modern as well as time-honoured materials for the movement, case and dial, which are autonomously manufactured and constructed in the Frodsham workshops in England.

The cases, which are available in 'London Hallmarked' 22k yellow gold, 18k rose or white gold, and in stainless steel, measure 42.2mm in diameter with a height across the sapphire crystals of 10.5mm. They are finished with a fine grain and polished bezels.
